vision.
Typically, the design process occurs in three
stages: The Initial Consultation, The Presentation,
and Ordering & Installation. These steps can and will
vary depending upon your time requirements and your budget.
The Initial Consultation - This
is where we discuss what you want. This meeting usually takes
place within the clients home or office and takes approximately two
hours. It is at this
meeting that we detail your likes & dislikes, your personal
style and color preferences.
Photos may also be taken at this time in order to make future
assessments important to the development of your personal design
scheme. No design advice is given at this time. There is an hourly
rate charged which begins at the initial consultation and a four
hour minimum is required.
The Presentation -This is where
the actual creative design process begins. A plan is formulated
with paint, fabric,
wallpaper, furniture selections - whatever is required to
accomplish the task of creating your dream environment. Careful consideration is
given to the budget that has already been predetermined during the
initial consultation.
Once the plan has been formulated, it is presented to the
client, usually a few weeks after the initial consultation. Pricing options are also
discussed at this time, and adjustments are made to the plan if
needed.
Ordering &
Installation -
Although this is usually the final step,
installations can happen simultaneously or in phases depending on
the budget and scope of work.
Any fabrics, paint, furniture, wallpaper and / or window
treatments are ordered at this time. Please be aware that
deposits may be required when placing orders. With the exception of
paint, wallpaper, flooring & construction items, everything is
usually done the same day.
Furniture is delivered, drapery treatment installed, and
artwork & accessories are placed.
